Don't you have time for outdoor sports? Do housework to reduce blood sugar and be healthy

Young patients do not pay enough attention to exercise and do not think it is necessary or give one or other reasons to not exercise at all. In fact, exercise is everywhere in life, and we can definitely do it.

30 minutes of moderate physical labor is better for your health

The U.S. Public Health Service recommends 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day, at least 5 days a week. Moderate physical activity is aerobic exercise. 30 minutes may sound like a long time, but you don't have to do it all in one sitting. If your housework increases your heart rate for 10 minutes, count it as part of your exercise routine. Three 10-minute sessions of moderate physical exertion every day amount to 30 minutes of exercise. Moving furniture when cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, using hands and knees when mopping the floor, and walking up and down stairs when throwing out garbage are all good ways to do moderate physical labor.

Of course, simple cleaning, washing dishes, and ironing clothes are light physical labor and cannot be counted into daily exercise.

Exercise should not be done based on small amount

For patients with diabetes, in fact, any kind of exercise is advisable as long as it can achieve the purpose of exercise therapy and obtain the effect of exercise, no matter which method you are willing to use to achieve the exercise target. We can do housework well and exercise at the same time. Why wouldn't we do it? It's such a double benefit! Wouldn't it be nice to take one less bus stop on the way to and from get off work and walk instead?

Our daily life may be filled with countless trivial matters. If we can find fun in the trivial matters of life, then our life will be full of vitality. Although we only do some housework, as long as we are not idle, even though the amount of activity is small, it can consume body heat if it accumulates a lot. Therefore, diabetic patients should never neglect exercise because of small amounts.

It should be reminded that housework cannot replace physical exercise. Diabetic patients should arrange physical exercise reasonably according to their physical conditions.
